The RedVox Infrasound Analyzer requires the FREE Infrasound Recorder. Analyzer provides tools for viewing, analyzing, and saving the infrasound data files stored in your device by the RedVox Infrasound Recorder app.
The tools in v1.1 include:
--Fast Fourier Transform (FFT)
--Sound Pressure Level (SPL) in Standard Octave Bands
--Total Sound Level (dB)
--Waveform Display
--File Manager
--Sound Navigator
This first release assumes some familiarity with audio spectral analysis tools and standards, and requires the Infrasound Recorder to create the data files.
FFT, SPL, dB, and Waveform modules let you scroll through individual files saved by the recorder. Select the file from the Folder icon to load to the main screen, or turn on Auto Update.
You can pinch and spread to adjust the axes, and tap to display selected frequency and dB levels.
The Analyzer Waveform display provides more screen resolution than the real-time Recorder display.
If the results in a file are of particular interest, Slide the selected file name to Copy to a file system available through iTunes.
It is also possible to share and transfer files via wifi through the File Manager. Input the specified IP in your browser, go to Documents, Public, Infracorder. You can also create an archive with all the files.
The Sound Navigator takes you to the RedVox server where you can see the data collected by the RedVox mobile infrasound network, as well as check on its state of health.
The results are not amplitude-corrected below 1 kHz, and show how the sensor responds in the infrasound range.
